Bruise of the Week

I'm in football, and seems like every time I come home from practice or a game, I have a new bruise. Most of the time, I don't know exactly what caused them, but they're usually big and dark. Here is a picture of this week's new bruise, but it looks much worse in real life. It's on my left hand, and I think I got it from when I didn't have my arm pads on to block with. It hurts to touch it. Anyway, I don't mind the bruises. I kind of like them because it shows I'm active in sports. You get bruises when you try your hardest.

Meet Reilly

Here's Reilly, my dog. He's a mix, but mostly Border Collie. He used to be my grandma's dog for about 8 months. My grandpa got sick of the hair, and my grandma was tired of taking care of him. Grandma was going to sell him to someone else but my sister, Joyce, talked her out of it. So, my grandma gave him to us. I was so happy because I loved him so much. Now he lives with us and a cool thing about that is our outside dogs have someone to play with. He sleeps on my bed at night and gets up to say good morning to my mom when her alarm goes off. He is so playful and loving, and if you pretend you're hurt, he'll come up to you and try to snuggle and comfort you. He's also very obedient. He knows sit, stay, shake, lay down and roll over. When you say to him "Reilly, give me some love" he jumps up on your chest and hugs you.

MEAP

My class and I started the MEAP yesterday and it will go on for about 3 weeks. The MEAP is a tests that all students in Michigan have to take. The grade doesn't go on your report card. It just shows how good the teachers are teaching and what they need to teach more of. The school provides a snack before every time we take the test. After that our teacher usually lets us go outside. A lot of the kids get all hyped up about it, but I don't see the reason why. I mean it's not really THAT hard, well not yet anyway.

Another Victory

Yesterday my football team had another victory! The score was a lot to a little. We played a private school team, and we really played good. The first touch down was scored by them on the very first play, their quarter back did a sweep on the right end and made a 60 yard run. Then we came back and scored in about 6 plays. They scored once more and that was it. In all, we scored about 5 or 6 touchdowns. We're rated number one in our league with 3 wins and 0 losses.

I play both offense and defense. I'm Center and Tight End on offense, and nose gaurd on defense.
